At no time was the generation gap ever more apparent than during the 1980s. We kids called it “Kraft Cheese & Macaroni”, but parents insisted on referring to it as “Kraft Macaroni & Cheese”. Will Smith was right. Parents just don’t understand.
I still remember getting into screaming matches with my parents at the dinner table over just what to call it. The whole situation broke our family apart and I was never allowed to use macaroni for any art projects whatsoever.
