My passion for things no longer manufactued knows no bounds. One of my favorite candies growing up were Bonkers. If you don’t know’em, they were similar to Starbursts, although memory seems to recall them being a bit chewier. Grape was my favorite.
I stumbled across this nifty ad online a few months back and I’ve decided to share it with the world (since so many people read my blog).
And yes, I’ve discussed Bonkers before (the commercials are classics so be sure to click!), but give me a break: it’s after midnight and that’s when I like to wax nostalgic about all the joys of my childhood. Plus, I’m kinda hungry.

I miss when advertisements for things actually had something to do with the product. At least in this one they use puns and stuff to associate it with the candy. If this came out today there would be an picture of an anthropomorphic giraffe getting “mad air” on his skateboard with the word “x-treme” all over the place.
