A trip to Wal-Mart can be a fun thing despite knowing that your every cent is adding to an evil corporation’s coffers, thus damning your own soul. Oh, well, it’s October… the one month it’s cool to be evil and damned!
Anyway, I recently stocked up on some essentials for the season…

Quite a spread, eh?
Spiced cider, “Scary Treats” Halloween Gummy SPIDERS, a giant Hand gummy, Jet-Puffed BooMallows marshmallows, Tastykakes KreepyKakes and a lil’ pumpkin pie.
The spider apple cider is quite good, though I think it would’ve been best if served hot whereas good old-fashioned apple cider is a drink best served cold.

Really bad case of carpal tunnel.
Next up the is the ridiculous large gummy hand. I was tempted to get the gummy foot, but did not. Let me tell you, do NOT be swayed by your novelty candy-craving impulses… This gummy sucks. Just the smell of it is enough to make you want to gag. It’s like… orange scented plastic. And the taste? My Zeus, the taste is even worst. If the smell won’t make you toss up your Russell Stover strawberry cream pumpkins, the taste will. It’s a mix of orange sherbert plus flouride from the dental office. YECH!

Next up is KreepyKakes! Truth be told, the packaging sells the cakes better than their own flavor does, what with the Frankenstein charging at you and the bats flying around.. I LOVE Tastykakes. They seem to be hard to come by in this area, so I had to try these out, but THESE ARE NOT MY TASTYKAKES!!! I want chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and these are just your typical frosting flavor.

GUMMY SPIDER FIGHT!!!
The Spider gummies are actually pretty good. There’s different flavors for each color. A worthy addition to anyone Halloween snacking. The pie is okay. I think they’re like $59 cents or something and you pretty much get what you pay for. Nothing bad, nothing special, but if you need that quick shot of pumpkin pie, it’ll get you by.
So, I know, I know… You’re disappointed so far, right? You wanted to be regaled with tales of awesome looking AND tasting treats? Well, so did I when I bought all this junk! But, there is still one trick up my sleeve…

BooMallows! I’m sure these have been around for years, but it’s the first I’ve taken a notice and I immediately snatched them up and also bought a box of Swiss Miss cocoa!
Horror Movie Recommendation of the Day:

Lost Boys: The Tribe (2008)
Fun movie that keep the spirit of the original but ads tons of gore and boobies to the equation. Awesome!
