The Karate Kid (1984)
Great underdog feel-good movie featuring a fun 80s soundtrack. Sure, Daniel’s a dork, but it’s still fun seeing him triumph over evil dojos.

Back to the Future (1985)
It’s like visiting 1985 and 1955 for the time again when I watch this one!

Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985)
Another unappreciated action movie. The Rambo series didn’t even enter *mindless* violence territory until Rambo III, IMO. Worth watching again and again if only for the gorgeous Julia Nickson.

The Karate Kid Part II (1986)
YES, the sequel. I even like The Karate Kid Part III. Part II is *almost* as good as the original and I just can’t get enough of Peter Cetera.

Star Wars (1977)
Of course, I can’t leave this one off the list. I love the other sequel from the Original Trilogy, but the original is the best and you can’t be get bored with it. I guess it’s technically supposed to be called Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope these days, but screw that. It’s just Star Wars.
All good choices, though I’ve never been a Rambo fan. Still, classics all around.
