The Perfect Halloween Candy… KISS M&M’s!

October 6, 2009

I’m a huge KISS fan, so this morning I got up early and went to Walmart to pick up their Walmart exclusive new release Sonic Boom. Along with the new album, most Walmart stores have a “KISS Korner” set up: KISS albums, KISS face paint, KISS masks (Gene AND Paul), KISS Mr. Potatoheads, KISS fleece blankets, KISS trading cards and… KISS M&M’s!

KISS M&Ms - Paul Stanley Edition

I made off with the fleece blanket featuring the Love Gun artwork and grabbed the Paul Stanley bagged edition of the M&M’s. Here’s a closer look at the M&M’s:

The faces on the black M&M’s don’t show up well. They used black printing on black M&M’s! Why didn’t they just use white printing or scratch the black ones altogether?

The bag was pretty expensive at $6, but who cares? It’s KISS and this is a once in a lifetime thing. And yes, I’ve destroyed my “eating right” plan for the day by chowing down on these candies.

Oh, and as for the album? So far, so good. Look for my review over at Metal Excess in the next few days.

Quite possibly the greatest candy ever made will be launching in October, coinciding with the October 6th release Sonic Boom (available exclusively at Walmart), the first original album from KISS in 11 years…

JUDAS PRIEST, WHITESNAKE, POP EVIL Concert Review @ Metal Excess

July 23, 2009

Oh yeah! Seeing as how this is a mostly 80s-minded blog, it’d probably be nice if I posted a link to my concert review of what some would call “80s bands” Judas Priest & Whitesnake. Great show, check’em out if they are in your area this summer and this music is your kinda thing.

Here’s the review at my music blog MetalExcess.com.

I’m going to see Def Leppard, Poison and Cheap Trick tomorrow night, so look for a full recap of that show over at Metal Excess on Saturday or just wait for the link to pop up over here.
