Well, if you thought my last post featured some fun Halloween-theme shaped snacks (and please don’t get them confused with what I’m about to show you), you haven’t seen anything yet!
You know a company has REALLY gotten into the spirit when they release Halloween dog treats! Now, see… this is the kind of dedication to a holiday that I enjoy to see. These days, you’ll often see brands like Nestle, Hershey, Mars, etc. put in very little effort with their Halloween candy. It’s more often than not that you’ll see someone take their regular boring candy with its regular boring wrapper and sell it in a giant bag and call it day. The 1980’s were different though. Companies even wanted the dogs to get in on the Halloween festivities!
It’s a little hard to read, but I strained my eyes so you wouldn’t have to. Milk Bone really went to town all for the sake of getting your dog into the Halloween spirit with dog snacks shaped as ghosts, the Frankenstein monster, bats, and jack-o-lanterns. What, no witches or skulls?
Not only that, but it looks like Milk Bone even took the time to assign specific flavors and colors to these treats. Pink bacon-flavored ghosts, red meat-flavored Frankenstein monsters, orange cheese-flavored jack-o-lanterns, brown liver-flavored bats, white milk-flavored ghosts (milk?), yellowish poultry-flavored bats, and green vegetable-flavored Frankenstein monsters!
