Pepperidge Farm’s Goldfish is a brand that’s mostly known for their line of snack crackers but they’ve been releasing cookies and graham cracker versions for quite awhile now as well. While browsing the aisles at Target, I saw things like vanilla cupcake and strawberry cheesecake but what a really grabbed my eye was Goldfish hot cocoa grahams over in the holiday aisle. I think Goldfish has had chocolate grahams for awhile and probably the hot cocoa version as well but this was the first time I’ve ever noticed it.
While parts of me may wish the hot cocoa grahams were awful just so I could say they are hot caca, they’re actually really good! Maybe a bit rich for me to eat on any consistent basis but they are an excellent choice to devour once a year during Christmas and wintertime. Imagine chocolate Teddy Grahams combined with the little dehydrated mini-marshmallows that you find in hot cocoa packets and that’s Goldfish Hot Cocoa Grahams.
On a secondary note, I decided to try Goldfish French Toast Grahams that I found in the regular grocery aisle. I wasn’t expecting much from them as I typically do not care for artificial maple/pancake syrup flavoring, but it seemed like a such a novelty I had to try them. They’re okay, but yeah, I still don’t care for the smell or taste of fake syrup.
Halloween is gone, which makes me sad. BUT… now we have Christmas to look forward to and can celebrate the next two months with that in mind. Then it’ll be depression time come January because there’s nothing else to look forward to for like eight months but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
Even though I live in Florida, we’ve had some nice cool weather today. It was 41 degrees when I woke up and not it’s 60 degrees. There’s a nice breeze going and I have the windows open. All that’s left is for me to kick start the holiday season with a seasonal beverage and a Christmas movie, which I plan on doing very soon this.
From today’s purchases, I think I’m off to a good start this holiday season…
Flannel bed-sheets, Swiss Miss dark chocolate cocoa, Starbucks Holiday Blend coffee and instant spiced apple cider. Instant because I have no clue how to make hot cider on my own and I know I don’t have the ingredients to do so.
Oh, and I’m totally making this a thing now:
Be on the lookout for all kinds of Christmas-inspired posts from now until the end of the year! It’s all a part of the first annual A Misfit Christmas!
I’ve also started up a new Tumblr blog that is all about Christmas called Christmasplosion!. You might see some repeat posts but I’m hoping to use Tumblr as a place where I give post much more (shorter) thoughts and photos regarding the holiday season. Be sure to stop by!
