Horror Movie Posters Part II

Notice how my Halloween Scream features deal with movies more and more? That’s because horror movies are where I get most of my enjoyment during October. I just don’t have the desire or will to waste my money on candy that a million other blogs are also gonna talk about this month. Not to mention I really don’t want to eat any of it either.

That said, I do plan on going trick or treating with my nephews and I will be dressing up but more on that later. For now, here’s some more classic horror movie promo art!

Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932) lobby card

This is another great role for Bela and the movie is completely his. He doesn’t have to share with Karloff this time! It’s pretty creepy for its time. I thought I had reviewed this last year, I guess I didn’t but I know I watched it. Worth looking into for fans of classic horror.

The Old Dark House (1932) title card

I haven’t seen this one yet but I keep meaning to. I’ve read so many good things about it. It features KARLOFF and is directed by James Whale.

The Mummy (1932) title card

The Mummy make up has always been really cool looking but I’ve always had a tough time getting into any Mummy movie. Still, this is a pretty cool piece of art and I’m hoping to catch some of the Universal AND Hammer Mummy movies this month to give them a shot again.

Island of Lost Souls (1933) lobby card

Never seen this one either. I think it’s in the public domain because the name seems really familiar from all those cheap “50 movies” collections.

Son of Kong (1933) title card

The comedic sequel to King Kong!
