I’m not a hardcore gamer by any stretch, but there are a few video game-based YouTubers that I love watching (Gamester81, Happy Console Gamer, Game Sack, John Hancock, Lazy Game Reviews, Metal Jesus Rocks, and Angry Video Game Nerd). While I don’t pretend to have anywhere near the collection or knowledge that those guys have, it’s fun watching them talk about systems or games I’m not very familiar with.
Anyway, I decided to go on a binge last week and pick up a number of PS4 and PS3 titles that were all $20 or less (brand new) on Amazon.
I played the demo for The Witch and the Hundred Knight a few months ago and liked it. I had to pick up the new TMNT game because it seemed like it would be similar to Transformers: Devastation. Liking it so far. I previously played the Onechanbara game that was released on the Wii many years ago, so I knew what to expect from that. I’m a huge fan of the Assassin’s Creed series, so getting Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate was a no-brainer, even if I haven’t beaten AC: Rogue yet or even started AC: Unity!
With the other games, I pretty much went in cold, only going by IGN reviews (although Metal Jesus Rocks recommended War Hammer 40,000: Space Marine in one of his videos).
Other than those games, I recently picked up a New 3DS XL along with Super Mario 3D Land, Pokemon Y (Pokemon Go has reignited my interest and I wanted to hone my skills before Pokemon Sun & Moon as released), and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and I’m also playing Just Cause 3 on PS4.
