In 1986, Remco gave us The Karate Kid line of action figures, hot on the heels of The Karate Kid Part II. You know they were good because the figures had “Tri-Action™” features: chop, twist and kick!
Of course, I wanted the whole line, but I only ended up with Daniel and Miyagi, but I’m pretty sure my friends down the street had most of them, including the playsets, which did nothing but make me jealous. It really sucks when you have only the heroes from an action figure line and no villains. =(
Anyway, another cool feature of the line was that the figures all came with their own breakaway accessories: chain for Sato, wall for Kreese, wood for Daniel/Miyagi, etc. The line also offered up two different versions of each character (with different color variations and break away accessories).
More pictures after the break!
